TOSTADAS
These are normally served as an appetizer to dip into a salsa. They
are best when warmed slightly before serving. Referred to as "chips" in
most restaurants, the dips used are only limited by your imagination !!
INGREDIENTS:
-
10-12 CORN TORTILLAS
-
VEGETABLE OIL for FRYING
-
SALT to taste
DIRECTIONS:
Cut 3-4 whole tortillas at a time with a large knife into quarters. Deep
fry at 350-375 degrees,
turning occasionally. Remove to a paper towel and lightly season to
taste. Any leftovers can be
kept un-refrigerated in a sealed plastic bag. To reheat, put on a cookie
tray in a 350 degree
preheated oven for 5 to 10 minutes. Serve immediately.
